As one of the UK’s most prestigious airlines, British Airways places a strong emphasis on delivering a premium passenger experience. Q Barriers was proud to support this commitment by designing and installing a new Bag Drop area at Aberdeen International Airport.
Prior to the installation, the airline faced challenges with visibility and way-finding within the terminal, making it difficult for passengers to quickly identify the correct check-in location. In a busy airport environment, this lack of clarity can lead to confusion, congestion and unnecessary stress at the very start of the passenger journey.
To address this, we installed our Nextrac solution, combining branded panels and structured layouts with our market-leading Beltrac magnetic belt barrier posts. The result was a clearly defined British Airways Bag Drop zone that guided passengers intuitively, improved flow and reduced congestion.
The new setup significantly enhanced visibility within the terminal and delivered a smoother, more efficient check-in experience, fully aligned with the expectations of a premium airline and its passengers. This project highlights how well-designed queue management and guidance systems can elevate customer experience in high-traffic transport environments.
